We celebrated our first ten years with a wonderful luncheon on February 19th at the Radisson Airport Hotel in Warwick. To all of you who were there, thank you for your support and thank you for sharing in the celebration. The combined efforts of many of the people in that room have built TechACCESS into the important resource that it is today.
Listening to Congressman Jim Langevin's keynote address, I was inspired by his words and proud that, over the years, I have participated at least in a small way in helping so many people attain a higher level of independence. I always have been and will always continue to be impressed by the skill, compassion, and extraordinary level of service that the talented staff of TechACCESS provides daily to the people that the agency serves. Congressman Langevin's address summed up the importance of the work done at TechACCESS and the profound effect that it has on people's lives.
Just as individuals who come to the Center face challenges every day, so TechACCESS faces the challenge of raising funds to help provide services. By the time you receive this newsletter, we will have completed this year's phonathon. If you have already responded to this year's appeal thank you! Your continued support keeps us going. If you have not yet sent in your donation please do so today. If you have not received a mailing or a telephone call, consider sending a donation to: TechACCESS of Rhode Island, 110 Jefferson Boulevard, Suite I, Warwick, RI 02888-3854.
