Activities include swimming, computer training, field trips, outdoor sporting activities, music, sailing, gardening, arts & crafts, theater and horseback riding. For ages 6 to 18. July 6, 2004 through August 13 from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm. Campers can be registered for a choice of weeks
or full summer term. Registration deadline June 18, 2004. Scholarships available on a first come, first serve basis.
Shake-A-Leg “Confidence is Cool” Day Camps
P.O. Box 1264, Newport, RI 02840. Contact Larry Gadsby at 401-849-8898. Summer youth day camp for children with physical disabilities aged 7-12.
Activities include swimming, sailing, arts & crafts, sports, and group games. Program is designed to provide mentoring opportunities for children with disabilities, build confidence, explore new sports, make friends and have fun. Three sessions: June 28 - July 2, July 12 - 16, July 26 - 30, $75/week, scholarships available.
Camp Ok-Wa-Nessett/Trailblazer

401-828-0130. Day camp for children in preschool through grade 8 whose IEP identifies social, emotional, physical and educational needs. Trailblazer’s structured program fulfills extended school year service requirements. Activities include archery, arts & crafts, canoeing, outdoor education, swimming, woodworking, as well as sports and games. Speech, language and occupation therapy provided as required by IEP. Staff includes state certified special education teachers, speech language pathologist, occupational therapist and registered nurse. July 5 - August 15, Monday through Friday, 8:45 am– 12:45 pm. Tuition: $1,500 per child.
